How to clean and activate your talismans or amulets? 🤔🔮

When a new amulet or talisman arrives to us, it is essential to know how to clean and activate it, since this can influence its correct functioning. Amulets are usually objects of natural origin such as minerals or leaves. These have great energy thanks to the power of nature, but it is important to clean and personalize them.

Talismans differ from amulets by having a more specific symbology. Some examples would be the Tetragrammaton, the Cross of Caravaca or the Flower of Life. The ideal thing is that they are made with natural materials such as silver, and all of them need an energy charge to fulfill their objective.

Both talismans and amulets are personal and non-transferable objects, therefore, before carrying them it is important to clean them energetically and activate them. There are different ways to do it, but today we will explain our favorite way, depending on the purpose of your amulet or talisman.

STEP 1️⃣ Cleaning the talisman

The first step we must do upon receiving our talisman is to clean it. The classic element for energetic cleansing has always been salt, and in this case we will use it mixed with water. If the material of the amulet allows it, we will leave it submerged in salt water overnight, otherwise, we will submerge it 7 times in a row and dry it well with kitchen paper.

STEP 2️⃣ Energy charge

The next point in the process will be charging the talisman. Once clean, we can do it one way or another depending on your goal. If we have a protection talisman such as the Tetragrammaton, the Medalla de San Benito or the Cruz de Caravaca, we will leave it for a full night in the light of the moon. The ideal way to do it would be in the Full Moon phase and exposing it to direct light. On the other hand, if your talisman is of strength -to enhance some specific aspect of your life-, or a sacred symbology such as the Tree of Life, we will leave it charging for a whole day but in the sunlight.

STEP 3️⃣ Activation

Finally, we will activate our talisman by burning 3 candles of the color that corresponds to its objective. How will we do it? We will place the talisman in the middle of the triangle and make our request. We will turn it on and let it consume.
