Wax candles made one by one in our workshop. The candle is the basic tool for working a request: you light it, let it burn down, and it carries the work for hours. Here are the families we make — prayer, herbal, prepared, purpose, 7-wick and 21-wick, and handmade — and on this page we set out how they differ and which one fits what you are asking for.

Handmade ritual candles
Asking with candles is one of the oldest practices in our culture, and it is not only done when hope runs out: also when you want something to go well.
We use only pure waxes, and the ritual and purification process happens before we start making them. The wicks are braided 100% natural cotton, with a thickness specific to each candle, because that is what makes it burn as it should.
Many are dressed with herbs, plants, salts and minerals. Some show on the outside; others only appear once the wax has burned down.
Which family of candle to choose
What changes between the families is not the size, it is the kind of work they carry.
Which candle for what you are asking
How to light a ritual candle
- Set the intention before lighting it, and the more specific the better.
- Prepare the space: somewhere quiet, out of draughts and free of distractions.
- Light it with a wooden match or from another candle.
- Hold the picture of what you are asking while it burns.
- Let it burn all the way down to close the cycle, and never leave it unattended.
How they are made
- Waxes of natural origin, which burn evenly and without impurities.
- Herbs and resins, picked one by one for the purpose of each candle.
- Minerals worked into the ones that carry them.
- Pure cotton wick, at the thickness each format calls for.
Frequently asked questions about ritual candles
What is the difference between a prayer candle and a herbal one?
The prayer one carries its prayer printed on it and is meant for addressing a saint, an archangel or one specific chakra. The herbal one is dressed with herbs, roots and salts visible on the outside, and those ingredients are what do the work. You can use both together.
How many wicks do I need?
One wick for an ordinary request. The Red 7-Wick Ritual Candle – Small and 7-Wick Small Black Ritual Candle and the 21-Wick Green Ritual Candle and 21-Wick Blue Ritual Candle are for cleansing and cutting work, not for attracting: they shift far more energy and are kept for when there is something to break.
Do I have to let it burn in one go?
Ideally it burns all the way down, but if you have to stop, put it out with a snuffer rather than blowing, and pick it up later. What you should not do is leave it burning unattended.
Why do herbs appear once it has burned down?
Because some of the ingredients sit inside the wax, not only on the outside. Finding traces of herb, salt or mineral at the end is normal: they are part of the candle.
Can I combine several candles?
Yes, and it is the usual thing in longer workings: cleanse first with a cutting candle, then attract with a prepared one. Lighting them in that order makes more sense than the other way round.
How long does delivery take?
