Abundance · Prosperity · Luck
A new project, a stretch of change at work, a business you want to see grow or, quite simply, the wish for things to start going your way. This ritual mix brings together the elements that tradition links to abundance, money and good fortune.
It is prepared by hand, layer by layer, in our workshop.
🫙 What it contains and what each element stands for
- Rice: a universal symbol of abundance and multiplication. Where there is rice, nothing is ever lacking.
- Marigold: the solar flower, associated with success, light and prosperity.
- Bay leaves: the plant of victory and of wishes granted.
- Cinnamon stick: traditionally linked to attracting money and speeding up results.
- Pyrite: fool's gold, the stone of money and material abundance.
- Citrine: known as the merchant's stone, linked to success in business.
- Green jade: a classic amulet of luck and lasting prosperity.
🕯️ How to use it
- Choose your moment. The new and waxing moon, and Thursday, the day of Jupiter, are traditionally the most favourable for abundance.
- Write your wish on one of the bay leaves.
- Place your fortune candle on a heat-resistant plate and form a circle of the mix around it, keeping the herbs away from the flame. Leave the bay leaf with your wish beside the candle, also away from the flame.
- Set the pyrite and citrine in front, light the candle and picture what you want to arrive.
- Afterwards, keep a handful of rice and the pyrite in your wallet, your till or your workplace.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Why is the wish written on a bay leaf?
Bay is the plant of victory and of wishes granted, so tradition uses it as the place to set the request down. Writing it also forces you to word it clearly, which is half the ritual.
When is the best time to do it?
The new and waxing moon, for their link with what begins and grows, and Thursday, the day of Jupiter, the planet of expansion.
Where do I keep the pyrite afterwards?
Wherever the money is: your wallet, the till of your business or your workplace. Together with a handful of rice, the most widespread gesture of abundance.
