A powerful prepared ritual honouring Saint George, traditionally used to invoke inner strength, courage and spiritual protection against negative influences.
Saint George stands as one of the most venerated figures in the spiritual and folk traditions of the world — a warrior of light whose legend speaks of courage, unwavering faith and the power to overcome formidable forces. Honoured across cultures and centuries, he is traditionally called upon for protection, strength and the clearing of obstacles that stand in one's path. This prepared ritual is lovingly crafted to channel that same fierce and protective energy into your daily life.
The Saint George Ritual has been thoughtfully assembled by the artisans at Las Velas de Mariano, drawing on time-honoured spiritual traditions. Each element within the ritual — from the prepared ritual candle to the accompanying herbs, oils and prayers — has been carefully selected for its symbolic resonance with strength, courage and divine protection. Together, they create a sacred space in which you may set your intentions and invite the guardian energy of Saint George to stand beside you.
This ritual may help to support those who feel vulnerable, overwhelmed or in need of renewed vigour. It is beautifully suited to moments of challenge, transition or uncertainty, when a sense of spiritual reinforcement can make all the difference.
Begin by finding a quiet, clean space where you will not be disturbed. Take a few moments to breathe deeply and ground yourself, setting a clear and heartfelt intention in your mind. Light the prepared ritual candle with reverence, visualising a radiant shield of golden and red light surrounding you — the colours traditionally associated with Saint George's valour and divine protection.
You may wish to speak a personal prayer or petition aloud, or simply hold your intention silently in your heart as the candle burns. Allow the flame to illuminate your purpose and carry your wishes upward. For best results, it is recommended to perform this ritual in a calm, focused state, ideally at a consistent time each day until the candle has fully burned.
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
This is a fully prepared ritual, handcrafted with care by Las Velas de Mariano. Each ritual is assembled with spiritual intention and may include a prepared ritual candle, selected botanicals, anointing oil and a prayer sheet — all chosen to work in harmony with the energy of Saint George. As a handcrafted product, slight variations in appearance are a natural part of its artisanal character.
Las Velas de Mariano brings together traditional spiritual wisdom and genuine artisanal craft to offer you tools of real beauty and meaning. May this ritual serve as a beacon of strength and a shield of light on your journey.
