Aventurine is the stone people give to someone facing an exam or an interview. It does not promise a lottery win: it is linked to being awake when the chance walks past.
💎 What is green aventurine?
Green aventurine is a quartzite, that is quartz in mass, coloured green by mica inclusions. Those same inclusions give it a metallic sheen that shows as you move it, and which gives the effect its name: aventurescence. It is a quartz, so a hard stone that daily wear does not mark.
✨ Attributed properties
- Spotting an opportunity and moving in time
- Interviews, exams and selection tests or anything decided in a short window
- Projects just starting that need a push
- Settling the nerves before something that matters
- Heart chakra, which tradition links it to
🌙 The best time to wear it
This is a bracelet for everyday wear, so the moment is set by what is in front of you: put it on for the interview, the exam, the meeting that decides something. To cleanse and recharge it, tradition favours the Waxing Moon🌒, the phase the workshop links to attracting.
How to wear it
You wear it, and that is all the ceremony needed. The custom is to put it on the left wrist, the side tradition treats as receptive, and leave it there for as long as whatever you are after lasts. The inside is an elastic cord: it goes on by stretching gently, without forcing it or rolling it over a finger. If you want to set an intention, hold the beads for a moment before leaving the house and name what you are asking of the day.
🤝 Pairs well with
With the citrine druse if abundance is what you are working on, since they complement each other: citrine goes with money and aventurine with opportunity. With the Feeling Abundance bracelet, which already holds aventurine alongside citrine and pyrite. And with tumbled aventurine to keep the same stone at home, in the space, and not only on you.
Frequently asked questions
Is green aventurine the same as emerald?
No, and it is worth clearing up because the colour misleads. Emerald is a beryl and a precious stone; aventurine is a quartzite, far more common and far more affordable. Nothing in common beyond the green.
Will mine look like the photo?
In shade and veining, not exactly. It is a natural mineral and the green varies from one bracelet to the next, as does the metallic sheen of the inclusions. The photo is a guide.
What happens if it gets wet?
Nothing to the stone: it is a quartz and handles water. What suffers is the elastic cord, which dries out with water and soap and eventually gives. Best to take it off for the shower and for the sea.

🧼 Cleaning and care
Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it. Do not submerge it or leave it in salt water: the stone would cope, the elastic would not, and the elastic is what ends up breaking. Take it off for the shower, the pool and the sea, and store it unstretched somewhere dry.
